Both cottages are fully furnished and contain everything one would need right down to the silverware. They are both non-smoking and we ask that guests respect this rule. Some additional amenities include; full kitchenware, refridgerator/freezer, microwave, coffee maker, electric stovetop/oven, telephone, satellite TV, VCR and DVD players, as well as an assortment of VHS and DVD titles for your viewing pleasure.
The Elwood is just over the hill from the Lainhart and contains two spacious bedrooms, two full bathrooms, an expansive front porch and rear deck. The rear deck houses a beautiful view of the trees and is great for relaxing, drinking morning coffee, or just soaking in nature.
Inside, the cottage also maintains an open feel as the living room, kitchen, and dining room share a center island that houses a fireplace, food-pantry, and breakfast bar. The living room contains a gas fireplace and satellite TV with a 42" LCD HDTV. It's the perfect place for relaxing with a book or watching the big game. Both bedrooms are ample enough to be considered master bedrooms and have access to high-speed wireless internet and TV. The Elwood has a large outside deck with a barbeque grill and patio tables and chairs. In addition, there is a 6 person hot tub spa and offers rest and relaxation during cold weather, or any time for that matter!
The Lainhart sits on a hilltop above the Elwood. It has two bedrooms and one full bath along with a wonderful front porch for sitting and soaking in the scenery. The rear patio has a gas grill and seating for four or more if you desire, and a five person hot tub spa for relaxing in.
The feel of the Lainhart is very open with the living room, dining room, and kitchen adjoined by a vaulted ceiling. In the rear there is also a sun room, great for reading a book, with access to the back patio and hot tub spa. The bedrooms are comfortable and have quite a bit of southern charm in their decor.

Nearby both cottages is a beautiful pond that we built and have kept stocked for over a decade. Needless to say, if you enjoy fishing you'll love this pond. The pond is spring-fed and holds catfish, bass, bluegill, carp, and one koi (Japanese goldfish). If your lucky you can see the koi as it approaches the surface to feed. The date the record for largest catfish caught by a guest is 7 1/2lbs in June, 2003.
